Padmanava College of Engineering (PCE),set up under the aegis of "Padmanava Education Trust " (PET)in 1999 , has some eminent personalities like Mr. T R Patanaik , Engineer .D R Patnaik, its members . It is a registered non-government organisation dedicated for promoting and quality education in the state and the country as well . The head quarter of the trust is at Bhubaneswar PCE .has been set up on a prime land (measuring over 7 acres) in the heart of the steel city, Rourkela. Away from the jostle bustle of city life , the institute constructed over an area of Thirty Seven thousand sq. ft. ,nestled amidst a lush green surroundings to add to its ambience, thus providing the right kind of atmosphere for pursuing educational activities of such demanding nature. Director's Message The future of a nation is shaped and the destiny of humanity is designed in an Padmanava College of Engineering. is set up to further this noble course and is committed to transform every pupil into a complete human being. Though the college is still in its infancy, it endeavors to provide its students with all the facilities that are at par, if not litter than any other reputed Technical Institution. With every successive Semester, the students develop and enhance their range and depth of technical knowledge along with the essential personality and behavioral skill. We are full of ideas and enthusiasms to adapt to any form of change, which will enable us to perform better and better. We are making a conscious attempt to internationalise the college. We plan to attract bright students from all our the world to study at due college with scholarship funded by the Management. Various tie up programs with other Overseas Universities are on the deciding desk. Very shortly in collaboration with University of Duisburg, Germany, the college plans to start some exchange programs which will give and International exposure to our students when they are still pursuing their studies in the campus. Home Feedback Site Map Detail Course Fee Structure Download Application Admission Procedure Detail Course Presently PCE conducts program leading to 4 years Bachelor of Engineering Degree in the following branches with the number of seats noted against each: Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. 60 seats (Syllabus) Electrical & Electronics Engg. 30 seats (Syllabus) Computer Science & Engg. 60 seats (Syllabus) Information Technology 60 seats (Syllabus) All the above courses, are designed by Sambalpur University, with emphasis on developing socio-cultural values and techno-managerial skills. With continuos research and feed-back from industry, the institute takes special care in devising effective methods of instructions through regular lectures, intensive Laboratory Practical, Seminars and Interactive GD, Guest lecture from academic and industrial world, Project assignments and Industrial Training, with an aim of grooming every student as a National asset with an edge to be high achievers. Single occupancy Rs 18,000.00 Rs 15,000.00 With attached bath Double occupancy Rs. 15,000.00 Rs. 12,000.00 With attached bath For Boys Hostel Single occupancy Rs. 15,000.00 Rs.12,000.00 Double occupancy Rs. 12,000.00 Rs. 9,000.00 Admission Procedure As per the prevalent stipulations the minimum eligibility criteria for admission to B.E1st.semester is as below: Pass in +2 Science Examination of CHSE, Orissa, or equivalent thereto with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (Passed separately in all subjects.) OR Pass in 3-Year Diploma course in Engineering course conducted by the State council of Technical Education & Vocational Training, Orissa or equivalent thereto. As per the norms presently set by the AICTE, New Delhi, 50% of the total seats are free seats, and the rest 50% of are catagorised as payment seats which includes 5% of the total seats earmarked as NRI/Management seats. Admission to seats under the NRI/Management category, are given on the basis of merit in terms of higher percentage of marks secured at +2 level, as per the guidelines issued by DTET, Govt. of Orissa. LATERAL ENTRY – Seats equaling to 10% of the total intake are open for lateral entry to the third semester by the candidates having passed the Diploma Engineering Examination, conducted by the State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training, Orissa or its equivalent securing at least 60% of the total marks in aggregate.
